Morning Rob. I was about to reply to your question yesterday when we had the postus interruptus. A pleasure to make your acqaintance. For my sins, I am also uk resident, originally from north east scotland. Scuse me for being nosey but are you also from north of the border? We obviously share a nostalgic affection for early Hawkwind. I remember having to carry my girlfriend out of one gig when she fainted from sheer sonic overload. However, in the here and now, doom and gloom seems to be the order of the day, although I'm sure the reports of the forum's demise are greatly exaggerated. :¬)

Hi Alan,

Sorry mate, I'm a Sassenach, though I frequently holiday on the beautiful West Coast of your land. I hadn't read that interview, and as my Dead shows were years apart it took me a while to get the balance right between listening to the band and absorbing the atmosphere of the crowd, which was so different from what I was used to. The whole was greater than the sum of it's parts though.

Rob.
